Blacktation Certified’s usage of the words Blacktation, Blacktivism, and Black Lactivist is an act of contributing to movement-building within today’s Black community. Knowing that we are not owners, nor controllers of these words we endorse the wide usage of these words to strengthen the movement and collectively unify the Black community.
We join into a movement that began centuries ago, in various forms, and in various parts of the world. Overtime, the movement has transformed and evolved as we collectively move towards the goal of equality and justice.
Acknowledging that our creativity and birth of Blacktation Certified and blacktation.com are a collective extension of existing ideas within the atmosphere, our desire is to continue the chain of creation and the continuation of the movement. With this in mind, we believe we can be our greatest when there is freedom to rebirth concepts that will not hoard or control, but liberate and transform.
Urban Dictionary contributor, ‘cakey boi’ describes blacktation best. If you have lived and experienced the Black community, you can relate to Miss Keisha (some have been Miss Keisha), her baby, her family, and the struggle. Blacktation Certified used what is known to describe a process and created a resource destination brand to directly address disparities and inequities relating to the Black breastfeeding experience and support Black breastfeeding. We welcome you to not only join in this contributing effort, but to reinvent and innovate from it.
